In The Beginning In Duke's Words

I was born October 31, 2019 in Poland. I was especially picked out of several dogs to do a special job in the United States, but
I had no idea what that would be. I  was given a passport and transported by a human I didn’t know. That part was a
little scary, but I was told my human was safe and I was going to live in the United States and learn how to help others.

My Story

My Story Begins:  At the age of 6 months old, I started down a road of training but still
didn’t know what my special gift would be for my human.   I learned quickly  I had to have a calm body to stay with my person in the community. My handler made it fun for me to learn. However, it  was noticed by my handler  my gift was to recognize when humans are struggling emotionally.

Play Time: Along with training comes playtime.  I am a hard worker and train most days with my working vest on. However, on my downtime, I get to run jump and play with my peers and human sister and brother.

My Love: Outside of loving my humans I LOVE LOVE  FOOD. If you ask my handler, I am not a picky eater,  I will eat anything because I am a Labrador. One thing I can't live without is my Stuffed DUCK My Duck allows me to decompress after I have important interactions with my humans.  I will fetch a ball for about five minutes until I am over it.

Favorite Outings: I love a good outing to watch  Football, Dance and Baseball.

BEST FRIEND,  Daisy the Bernese.

What I Dream about: My job, my toy's and my family......

ONE DAY MY PATH CHANGED!!!!!!!!!

I was approved to help others in need at ODHS as the Trauma Facility Dog, not just one person but so many HUMANS.  My Interview for my very first job was with with FOX NEWS and boy was I so nervous. It was the most exciting experience I had so far outside of being approved to be ODHS's 1st Facility Dog.  I was welcomed with open arms and was give the best job ever. Helping other's through challenging days is the best career I could have ever asked for in my four legged life.
